C-260.5 Stop the bleeding
In the care for the human body, bleeding was once the accepted treatment for its various ills. In the care for Humanity and our various step making and taking ills it still is! Life-flattening sluggish thoughtknots slow our way forward. Concepts, especially double concepts, are killing our steps by bleeding functionality.
Democracy , like Humanity, is bleeding. For lack of realization. For plodding under the criterion of functionality/dysfunctionality rather than advancing under the criterion of functionality/needed functionality … advancing with procedural, not just tool, technologies. And especially with needed procedural technologies for Mind’s Forward contributions.
Stop! Forge the new Excalibur! It’s our Frontier “next step” prerogative, in the S-universe, given the Nature of Things and the Expansion. Stop now, to attack the HC-1 challenge architecturally, to make the new Excalibur: our sword of mettle rather than of metal.
Stop the bloody B-ness bleeding of HC-1 to HC-2, the bleeding of S-universe conditions (steps of “life”) back into a black hole of B-ness’ “the Universe.” Our default operating system (O.S.), what we have of it, is too much a Topsy-like mountain of control systems (C.S.) … fashioned in the wake of situational mishaps and/or in anticipation of mishap, oblivious to consequential S-universe phenomena and Expansion principles.
Forge the new Community Excalibur! Forge it first. Community is civic architecture, not just instances of de facto congregation. Or it needs to be. Community, when not mere concept, is pure step and more accessible to molecular step development than us disparate individuals whose evolution-forged bodies resisted molecular step development in favor of poorly differentiated behaviors. Grasp the mettles of behavioral architecture and Involve them together to the criterion of CEM … as implied by Kim’s attachment of “co-“ to each of the behavioral requisites toward achieving HAS (Humanity, Arts and Sciences) interdisciplinarity. A more productive operating system, that is. Aided by procedural technology – given a further developed procedural technology.
Humanity is needed functionality: what we can make of it. Prepare ourselves by developing our selves as operating systems. Not depending on the situation-bound advances of evolutionary process and local circumstance. Rather, construct selves by and with advances in procedural technology. Life in the S-universe, not just in “the (B-) Universe.”
Democracy qua public too. We cannot afford public to be a mere aggregate. The Founding Fathers of the United States undertook in 1787 to produce an operating system that would solve the functional difficulties (e.g., finances, international policy) of the several states. Focus was on the state-nation relationship. Individual-nation was an afterthought: the Bill of Rights. Union was but a passing thought in the Constitution’s Preamble. Yet Union is the needed functionality to meld a public of individual selves with the nation as a community of selves* … with the potential and promise of CEM. We need Community to get to Union … and CEM.
Democracy qua Union needs to become the new Excalibur. It’s not just a (PP) sorting of HC-1 and HC-2. This is a sorting out, Yorkshire style.** So that we – and the HC-1 condition -- get the message of “this way Forward.”
Lincoln had it right in his Gettysburg Address: “… that this nation … shall have a new birth of freedom – and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from this earth.” But we need to progress from concept (“government,” “people”) to theory FOR to bring it about. (Let the prepositions be heard!) It’s an S-universe mission. In need of Expansion principles.

Far too much of needed functionality has been considered, and is still being considered, primarily in terms of control systems, working to minimize behavioral dysfunctionality. Operating systems , for individual and community step making and taking, are Mind-bound in the B-universe and B-speak. We need S-universe development to further and complement the “gifts of evolution.”
Consider, for example, the matter of sex. There is gender sex, a B-universe matter. And then there is Behavioral sex, a (needlessly complex?) S-universe matter -- in dire need of an architecture of shared touch, feel and sound.*** Perhaps to the CEM-point of “romance.”
A little less, perhaps, of the music of the spheres and a lot more of the music of the souls.
